Happy Thanksgiving 2025!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is the 18th consecutive year of doing this thankfulness exercise and contest! I don’t use this blog much anymore, but as long as I’m still drawing breath and God gives me the strength, this is a tradition I want to keep alive.

While about half of Eric’s Tips readers live outside the USA, I say it every year… gratitude transcends all borders.

Keeping up with this tradition gives me a chance to pause and truly appreciate all of YOU — my subscribers, my customers, and the many friends I’ve made along the way. You’re the reason I’ve been able to run this business for so long.

So first… thank you.
Whether this is your first time participating in our annual Thanksgiving contest or your 18th, your presence here means a lot to me.

A Few Things I’m Thankful For This Year…

Family.
This summer our oldest daughter got married in a beautiful outdoor amphitheater nestled among the redwoods of California. It was one of those storybook settings — towering trees, a glowing bride, and a ceremony full of joy.

The celebration didn’t end there. We hosted a reception back home in Colorado, followed by another reception hosted by her new in-laws in Washington State. So now we officially have two married kids, but our home still feels full and alive with the other five kids still at home.

As many of you will remember, we finalized the adoption of our 7th child in 2024. That journey continues to shape us, stretch us, and bless us. My wife and I are incredibly thankful for the personal growth it has sparked in this season of our lives.

Fishing and the outdoors.
It was an unforgettable fishing year. I set new personal bests for several species — including brown trout, cutbow trout, walleye, lingcod, and snook — just to name a few.

I caught over 20 fish that would qualify for the Colorado “master angler” program, and while it’s not about the awards, it’s a fun benchmark and a reminder of how much time I’ve been blessed to spend outdoors.

Here are a few pictures…

Business.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to keep growing professionally. This year I continued to push myself to learn, implement, and leverage AI technology.

I’m also very thankful for a few amazing partners who joined me in launching several best-selling AI tools in our industry this year. It’s been both fun and inspiring to keep innovating even after two decades in this business.

Life — and hope.
Like I shared in last year’s video, I know life is really hard. And the holidays can magnify everything — the joys, the losses, the struggles. 2025 brought its own set of challenges for me too. Plenty of low moments. Plenty of moments where life felt heavy.

But I’m thankful for life itself, and for the opportunity to keep pushing forward.

If you’re going through difficult times…
don’t lose hope.
Life is worth living, even when it gets really tough.

Now It’s YOUR Turn — The 18th Annual Eric’s Tips Thanksgiving Contest!

For 18 years, we’ve done this thankfulness exercise together.
And once again…

All you have to do is post a comment below sharing something you’re thankful for.
A word, a sentence, a poem, a video, a picture — anything that reflects genuine gratitude.

If you need inspiration, go back and read the Thanksgiving comments from the past 17 years.

In a few days, I will randomly choose 10 winners, and I’ll send $20 via PayPal to each of those 10 people. As usual, I’ll announce the winners on this post.

NOTE: Your comment won’t appear immediately — I’ll approve them periodically.

Thank you for being part of this tradition.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
And thank you for the privilege of being able to send this message every year.

Have a great day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

UPDATE: Here are the 10 winners chosen at random using AI:

NOTE: a couple of the Paypal payments were bounced due to invalid email addresses. If that was you, please comment with your correct Paypal email. (I’ll delete that comment, it will never appear publicly)

I’m thankful for my brother, Michael, who supported me financially for the past 12 years while I was taking care of our parents during their final years on this earth. It was a rewarding experience for our entire family in spite of the sacrifices. Now, at 68 years young, I’m ready to re-enter the working world to re-fund my retirement. The timing couldn’t be better! Be Blessed! Enjoy every day the best you can! Appreciatively, Martin

I am thankful that I get to keep learning about how to make money online from successful entrepreneurs like yourself. Thankful that I can get hold of software and tools that you constantly churn out for us. Most importantly, thankful that I am still fit enough to travel to Taiwan for a holiday despite reaching 66 soon. 😉

Thankful I have a home even though it is a fixer-upper after my home and office burned down. Four computers totally destroyed, but I had thumb drives with me that included thousands of pages of research and hundreds of pages of my writings on creativity. In 2026 I will have a new website: Quest4Creativity.com. The 4 is for the initial guiding directives: Explore-Enhance-Express-Engage. At 77 years of age I am still intent on bouncing back after the latest disaster! My stories and insights will hopefully help many people re-create their lives or transform them for the better…and the world as well.
Also thankful for Eric’s Tips, keep up the good work.

My father passed away in April from complications of Parkinson’s disease. This year, more than any other, I am thankful for my dad and the lessons I learned from him: displaying a calm temperament, good humor, and love of reading, learning and trying new things. RIP, Dad, and thank you!

So sorry, Shawn. My Dad passed away Christmas day, 2008, from complications of Parkinson’s disease. I still miss him terribly, but he lives on in my heart, as I know your Dad lives on in yours.

    Hi again!

And for this year, I should be thankful for myself,
    that I’m still alive,
and that I’m still in good health after all these year!

    Truly.

’m thankful for the gift of life—like, genuinely. Waking up every day feels a little like getting handed a fresh page you didn’t have to earn, and that alone is wild.
I’m thankful for my siblings, too. They’re the built-in chaos, comedy, and comfort I never knew I’d need this much. They keep me grounded, even when they drive me up the wall… which is honestly part of the charm.
My church family and my fellowships? Man, that’s a whole other kind of blessing. There’s something powerful about having people who lift you up, pray with you, laugh with you, and won’t let you drift off into your own storm. They’re like spiritual Wi-Fi—always keeping me connected when I start lagging.
And then there’s my beloved… the person who makes every ordinary day feel a little less ordinary. The calm in my noise. The soft landing after a long one. A whole gift wrapped in human form.
And my friends—my beautifully imperfect, endlessly supportive, “we’re in this together even when life gets messy” crew. Life hits different with people who understand your jokes, your dreams, and your disasters.
So yeah… I’m thankful for all of it. Every person. Every moment. Every piece of the puzzle that makes my life feel full.Thank you Eric for giving us all these wonderful gifts all year round.God Richly Bless You!!

I find myself thankful for so much, today especially, but every day, if I wrote it all it would go on indefinitely. Today my better half, my bride to be, Tammy was rescued from what I have learned is another tragic thing in our medical system. Any that know will understand. Not enough of me to go around to champion the plight these seniors are in is criminal. Thank you to prayer, guidance and big kick in the facilities behind from the State level people that oversee such places. Tammy is tired, sleeping, missing the turkey she is looking forward to but home, that is all that matters. The other especially today is having the good fortune to find marketers like Eric and a handful of others. Not for gifts or what they can do for me. The fact I am becoming, have become the ethical, helpful online business presence that allows me to look my self in the mirror with pride. Thank you to Eric and the handful that care.

I’m thankful God delivered me from a life of booze/drugs/free sex, 43 years ago next month. If He hadn’t I probably would not be here now, and after waiting 8 years and spending time alone with God, I met my wife in 1991. Seven weeks later I asked her to marry me, having not even kissed her yet, and it was a YES. Seven weeks later we were married in May. Two years later, after my wife having a dream a year earlier that we had a baby girl, we did on Mother’s Day! That’s good because we had already purchased baby girl clothes that filled a dresser before she was even pregnant. And now she has twin boys (4.5 yrs. old) and we babysit them often. And we had the 4 of them here for Thanksgiving today. God is GOOD!

Every day I have the privilege to wake up.

For my kids, my family and all the good people in the world.

For everyone who takes care of animals of all kinds, as well as people who struggle to care for themselves.

For being in excellent health at the age of 67 and the ability to learn from honest marketers like Eric.

And, that I can praise God, and thank Him for everything, every day!

I am thankful for my excellent health at the age of 75. Over 35 years ago as a traveling medical sales representative with the stresses and challenges of frequent travel, hotels, eating in restaurants and seeing the failure of mainstream medicine, I started to practice Natural Health strategies. This has allowed me to remain in optimal health and also to have the ability to market Natural Health courses now in retirement.

This list could go on for a very long time. Happy Thanksgiving to all in the US. I hope that you are having a fun and love-filled weekend with the people most precious to you.

In early June I was knocked down by a very energetic and playful 2-year-old rescue dog. I fell backward on concrete and ended up in surgery the next day. Now I have wires and screws in my right tibia and fibia (lower leg), and a plate with screws in my right radius (large lower arm bone).
Rehab has taken longer than I could have imagined, but everyone said my recovery and rehab were right on schedule.
I am deeply grateful for a fantastic surgeon and his wonderful staff. Amazing people at the hospital and rehab.
I had prayers from Friends and Family, prayers from 2 different churches. One is in Tulsa where I live and the other is in Georgia.
Also had prayers from my followers on Facebook and a large group of meditators who are long-time friends.
And prayers from 2 meditation groups that I see weekly, one in Austin on Zoom, and the other here in Tulsa.
All the time I have been recovering, including now, I feel so safe and cared for, like I am being held in a soft blanke!.
This has been an amazing experience. I am so deeply grateful for all the thoughts and prayers from so many Wonderful People !!!

I’m grateful to Jesus for making it possible for me to enjoy eternal life, rather than an eternity of suffering apart from Him. While my current life here on Earth may not be luxurious, I have joy (not necessarily happiness, which is fleeting and dependent on temporary circumstances) in knowing my life with Jesus (the life for which we all were created) will be fulfilled in Him and be one of indescribable completeness.

It is difficult to narrow down the list of things to be thankful for…my God, my family, my health…so much more. I am thankful that we live where it is easy to be thankful because we are so blessed…and yet it is also difficult, because I tend to take these blessings for granted if I’m not careful. So, thank you for this contest! And for your gifts. We are so so blessed!
