CB Niche Builder Review

By | March 30, 2006

UPDATE: This review is now outdated. I am leaving it here for informational purposes only. While this product was good for making “place-holder” sites for unused domains, it was also used to create spammy sites. I no longer recommend this method. As a research tool, it’s also no longer needed, as ClickBank’s marketplace now provides even more data than this software ever did. Edition #33 – 03/30/2006

When it comes to making money with ClickBank, I’d have to say I’m somewhat of an expert… I’ve made several thousand dollars every month since I signed up as a CB affiliate over a year and a half ago.

Today I tested a brand new software product called CB Niche Builder. I’ve used many different marketing techniques, and experimented with various tools, but none of them do what this new program does.

It’s a piece of intelligent software that’s push-button easy to use – but almost no one even knows about it.

One of the most time consuming tasks of a CB affiliate is identifying which products will be the most profitable. The CB Niche Builder helps you quickly locate the BEST products for you to promote, and then it INSTANTLY integrates them into your website.

Listen to my personal review:

I often get good ideas and I go register new domains, but then I get too busy with other projects and never develop those domains.

Needless to say, I’m always interested in looking at ways to monetize those domains. In other words, how can I turn those domains into cash and use them to bring me a passive income instead of just letting them sit there?

So I decided to test out the program, and see how it works, by creating a site for a domain that I registered a long time ago but never used.

Here’s my test site: (Link removed – it’s no longer my site)

screen shot
Test site that I built in 15 minutes

I just used a basic header graphic, pasted some Google AdSense code into the template, and then ran the system to add ClickBank products. It took me about 15 minutes.

Obviously that’s just a basic example, but don’t be mistaken… you don’t need a complicated website in order to make money. In fact, a recent study showed that ugly sites consistently make more money than pretty ones! Trust me, if that little site starts getting traffic it will generate income.

By the way, the program has built-in SEO features and tutorials to help you get more web traffic too.

You don’t have to build a small ugly sites like I do (although it’s a great way to build a passive income). You can easily plug the CB Niche Builder into any existing website. Just take your current HTML page, insert one tiny tag where you want the ClickBank links to appear, and then run it through the system.

This means you can add an additional income stream to any page in just a few minutes. For example, if you have a page that is making a little revenue from AdSense, you can often increase the income from that page by adding the right ClickBank products!

For me personally, the biggest benefit of this program is that it saves me time. In the past, whenever I wanted to find some good clickbank products to promote, I had to do all the research manually. The CB Niche Builder cuts out that research time by instantly locating the best products.

You can search for a niche with any keyword. The program then lists the related products, tells you the exact dollar amount of commission you’ll make, and tells you how well it is selling. Let’s say for example you only want to promote products that will make over $20 commission per sale (or any amount). You can instantly narrow the field with one click.

Then the software saves you more time by building the links for you, AND building redirect pages to cloak the links. It always takes me a lot of time to build all my redirects, so this is a huge help right there. It also allows you to choose between HTML and PHP for your index pages and redirects.

Maybe you aren’t even currently using redirects for your affiliate links. If that’s the case, this program will increase your click-throughs by cloaking those hoplinks. I should also mention that this is a Windows program, so everything is done right on your PC and there’s no scripts to install on your server.

There are several other features in the program…it would take too long to list them all here. To watch a video demonstration of the program in action go here:

As usual, I wouldn’t say this is the holy grail of internet marketing (there’s no such thing), but it’s a very nice program that will save you time and help you generate ClickBank income.

Hi Donna, I would recommend starting out as a Clickbank affiliate by following my Writing Cash Program, which is free.

To be successful at it, you will need to pay for pay-per-click advertising, so save up your money and do a little at a time. I’m an advocate of building your business debt-free as much as possible, so start small and work hard, and test like crazy and eventually you’ll find a winning niche.

I would really love to purchase your software, but I cannot aford the price. I am just starting out and I don’t have a lot of money because I am handycapped and I am on a very small budget. I am sitting here trying to find a way. My web site is not even giving me any money back yet. Would you please help to find a solution? I think that your software looks terifick!!!! Thank you. Please find a way.

    Eric:

I think your demo site is very creative and I plan to imitate it.

I have 5 questions about it.

    1. Any adsense and CB click results yet?

    2. Would article summaries improve the results?

    3. Would RSS feeds improve the search engine results?

    4. Can this template model be used on Blogger or WordPress?

    5. How did you get the keywords beneath the banner log to link to the Google pages? I’ve never seen that done before.

    Thank you,

    Good questions Norman…

1 – A few results so far, but that’s only because I included it in my review. However, since I linked it from my blog I expect it will get indexed quickly in the SE’s. However it’s a pretty competitive niche, so I don’t expect good rankings since I didn’t add any content. However, here’s how I see it… The domain costs about $9/year. ONE sale of any of the CB products will make the site profitable. A few Adsense clicks here and there will make it profitable. So instead of letting my domain sit and do nothing, it will be paying for itself plus bringing income. You never know, a SE spot for one keyword could get some traffic and it could make a ton of money. If you’re building “zero content” sites like this one, then you want to build as many as possible. However, your time will probably be spent better developing sites with content.

2 – Yes, as far as the search engines go. Obviously the way my demo site is right now, visitors will click on a link, which is good. But it doesn’t have much content for the SE’s so articles would definitely be an improvement.

3 – Probably. Really any content will help. A good strategy is to use a combination of blocks of static and dynamic content (like RSS).

4 – Yes. The key there is to use your blog template as the base template when you run the system. That way all the pages will look the same. There are other ways of doing it too… For example you could use the CBNB with a blank template to create the link pages, then add them to your blog or other site using Iframe’s, snippet rotators, etc.

5 – It’s a relatively new feature in AdSense. When you go to get your AdSense code, choose the “link units” option. There are various sizes and orientations available, and you can pick the colors. My strategy in this case was to make it look like the site’s natural navigation menu.

This is a fantastic tool. The manual research has always been a back breaker.
I see on your test site that there is also some link cloaking that seems to work
    pretty good.

Thanks – I’ll pick up my copy ths morning.

Yeah that’s just it Kevin – it’s not a magic wand, but it saves you time on the research. And yes the cloaking works well too. It uses basic html meta-refresh, or php redirects, which is what I’ve been typically using for all of my affiliate links for over a year now. Once again saving you time…

    Greetings Eric!

Always enjoy your newsletters! I have a question for you regarding your blog. What software do you use to create and maintain your blogs? I’m getting into blogging now as an additional way to reach my customers and would appreciate your thoughts on this.

    Thanks.

    Hey Mike

I use WordPress. You can get it for free at: http://wordpress.org or if you have Fantastico on your server you can do a one-click installation. It’s pretty much the industry standard, and I like it because it’s totally customizable.

    Hi Eric,
I’m strating to go into blogging too but is currently still using blogger.com as I wanted to start free and wordpress requires a domain and hosting.

I know blogger looks unprofessional though 🙁 I would go into wordpress but one main thing I’m concerned about is my lack of html skills. Like I’ll need to know how to customise my header at the top and stuff.. Is it time-consuming to learn? Any resources to recommend?

I know I’m going slightly off-track here, but thanks for the reply anyway 🙂

    Hi Kang,

I’m glad you asked, because I actually just recently found an awesome resource for WordPress. In fact, I like it so much that I’m going to be doing a full edition of Eric’s Tips about it in the next couple weeks. It’s called WordPress Tutorials and you can see it at:

The owner, Sherman, is a good guy–very helpful–and I highly recommend checking it out.
