LESSON #29: Uploading a Website Using FTP
In the previous lesson, I showed you how to build a web page using HTML. But that page isn’t going to do you a whole lot of good if it’s not on the web, is it?
So let’s learn how to upload it to the web…

Main points:
You can download a free FTP client at: http://filezilla-project.org
(see demo on video)
You can “drag and drop” files directly from your computer onto your website.
Action step:
1) Upload at least one page to your site using FTP.
Note: the file should be named index.html if you want it to appear as the home page of your website. (Or index.htm, index.php, etc)
In the next lesson I’ll begin showing you some tools you can use to make your website look nice.

I was able to connect to my website by putting in appropriate info and do the quick connect. That worked great. I dragged my index2.html file into the the public_html file of the root directory and that worked. I then typed in infrastructurehealing.com into my address bar of a new web browser and it did not work. I got the following:

I do not know what I did wrong. Any Suggestions? One concern I had was in my public_html file I did have a file with an IE logo called default.html. Not sure how it got there because I have never had my website up. I am using hostgator that you recommended.

I can only think of 2 possible explanations…
1) Perhaps you inadvertantly dropped it in the wrong folder. If it was in there, you should see it.
2) If you had previously connected to your site using MS FrontPage, there is a slight chance you may have corrupted the file structure. FrontPage users should stick to FrontPage and not use FTP, and vice versa.
I did not put it in the wrong folder.
I have never used MS FrontPage.
I have never had my site online before.
Any other suggestions.

I found my problem. My website address is a ad on domain with Hostgator. Because of that how you sign in to FileZilla is different.
Through this process I am understand more how things work rather than just memorizing the steps.
May do the other type of account with Hostgator because each domain has its own cpanel. Makes more sense for a newbie if I have more than one domain

You are correct, this is one of the reason I recommend the Reseller Accounts. With one, you can set up each domain on its own Cpanel.
Hard to understand the importance of things until you have the experience with it.
Also had to have some experience with you to feel comfortable and build my trust with you. I appreciate you hanging in there with me as I do that.
Is it hard to switch to reseller account? I am working on a lot and if it is hard or takes a lot of time I might wait.

No it’s not hard. Talk to Hostgator and they can most likely upgrade you to a reseller account without you even having to switch to a new server. But if you do have to switch to a new server, they can help move your sites.
Mark rename the index2.html to index.html and is should work ok. By default most hosts will look for index.html or default.html Their are ways of using another name but I will nor confuse the issue. So in brief your ‘Home Page’ needs to be called index.html

That’s a good question. The problem is most people are focused on teaching tactics, and not the core elements of setting up an information business. I know of a good course, but it is $1500. If you let us know what area of content you are having trouble developing, maybe myself or someone else can offer some advice…

I think your topic will work wel with the techniques that I will be teaching in these lessons. Basically you will want to start an opt-in list, with Aweber. When people come to your site, they are asked to enter their name and email to get the info they’re looking for regarding your topic. You can then sell them your ebook(s). And build a relationship with them via email, providing free info, and selling them more stuff.
In order to have good credibility with your product you should get one or both of the following:
1) real story/testimonial from someone who has been cured using the methods
2) a doctor/expert who will endorse it

Sohan, There is no short cut but you may have 2 choices.
1)A book such as the ‘Teach yourself’ or ‘Dummy’ Guides.
2)I see you are with Host Gator if you log in to your ‘CPANEL’ and click on ‘Fantastico’ you can install Joomla or Wordpress which do most of the work for you. I use Joomla (click my name to see my site) Its called a CMS Content Managemnt System and a very good book is available from Barrie M. North ‘Joomla A Users Guide’ ISBN-10 0-13-613560-9.
Wordpress is different both have good websites where you can read the manuals etc. You will quickly find that these Applications make it very easy with out getting down into HTML and they are Free! Fantastico can uninstall as well as Install so you can try each out. Each one uses 1 Database. You can have both installed just enter a directory/folder name during the install process such as ‘wp’ for wordpress or ‘joomla’ to get to each just add folder name to the end of the URL yoursite.com/wp or yoursite.com/joomla you could then have a simple home page with 2 links one to each location Eric may cover how to add a link to your Home Page later.
If you visit my http://echoshack.com this is Joomla Site, you will also find a menu link to my (rather empty)Blog if you hover mouse over the main menu links and look in the status bar of your browser you will see echoshack .com /joomla/xxxyyy or echoshack .com /wp/xxxyyy I have each Application is a seperate folder.
On your CPanel you can create a re-direct so that anyone typing your URL will automatically be directed to the correct folder/application (thats for another day)

It complements the other book I mentioned but more a tune to the beginner and a good return reference document when you forget ‘Now how did I do that’.

if you’re trying to write an ebook for your customers, I would suggest writing the outline first, than from there, write a basic script for an audio going more in depth as to what sub-topics you want to cover, but don’t write out what you want to say word for word, but do make the bullet points detailed enough so that what you want to say about that topic. If your concerned about how the audio will turn out, I can easily fix up the audio for you in Soundbooth, even if there are alot of ums and ahs, I can take them out to make it more professional. I can also work with you to help you figure out what you want, but I’ve found that most of my ideas come from my mouth, than gets onto paper (or typed up), not the other way around, so even if all you do with the audio is have it transcribed and make an ebook out of the transcription, you will still get alot more information out of that than trying to get it all on paper without doing the audio. I’ve tried dozens of times to create content without doing an audio first and it’s frustrating because you don’t know where to start. If you only focus on bullet points than record an audio from those bullet points, your content will come much quicker (I know this because when I blog and “think aloud”, I usually get it done much quicker than if I don’t think aloud)

Thanks. It depends on what you mean by affiliate marketing. These days most people think of aff marketing mainly in reference to PPC arbitrage. As you probably saw, the most cutting edge PPC arbitrage course is probably Arbitrage Conspiracy. If you’re looking for a cheaper course to learn the ropes of PPC, I recommend Google Cash. If you’re looking to get a good overview of affiliate marketing, without necessarily focusing on PPC, Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook is still a great resource.

Wow, lesson 29 was great everything work great except one thing, when I went to view the webpage after uploading the html file into the filezilla which by the way is very cool! but the web page had a similar problem as Mark but when I clicked on one of the links that were on the page, then the file showed up correctly but again I had to open the page and then click on one of the things that was there I forget exactly what it was but when I did then it showed the page.
With this said I’m still very happy with what I learned in this lesson and want you to know how much I appreciate all your help.

Mark, Index2.html certainly never reached your root directory because I had a look. You may have moved it to one of the folders by mistake. Firstly, make sure you move the file to any white space on the screen and not directly over a folder. Secondly, NEVER use index2 or any name for that matter, other than those listed below for your home page. Only use index.html, index.htm or index.php depending on the code you’re using. You may use default.php or default.html but I don’t recommend it.
By using index.html (htm,php) you will not only direct a visitor to the home page, you will also ensure that the remainder of your root directory is protected. The file name index.whatever is like a padlock. Without it, people will see your site’s full file structure.

Another great lesson! I learned a lot from it, in my case, not so much WHAT you teach, but HOW you teach, that’s reason #1 why I follow your lessons.
A huge problem for experts often is, that they can’t walk in the shoes of the ones they want to teach, they can’t remember, how it was, when they were newbies. These guys are not teachers, but smart asses, many of them writing useless IM courses, ebooks, tutorials and stuff: Follow these simple 10 steps and get rich like me, a 4th grader could do it … Such a bs, when you have no idea, what you are doing there. If a Guru makes 10 steps and you do EXACTLY the same steps, the results will be VERY different, I bet.
So you are a genius teacher, and you know, where you came from, a rare TALENT to fascinate listeners.
BTW: My tools are Dreamweaver and all these Macromedia and Adobe thingies. Maybe you should mention in your lesson, that as soon as you understood and applied the basics, you should reduce workload with the best tools available. But I would not recommend to start off with Dreamweaver, in case you mess up, you have no idea, how to fix it, because when you read the help files, you have no idea, what they are talking about, when you don’t know the basics.
For the backup upload it’s great to know for newbies, that this is possible, but important to know, that uploads compared to downloads are terribly slow and no viable way to save larger files. Excitedly waiting for your lesson about backups, should be asap! Regarding backups I’m a paranoic, wonder, what you will recommend? I have 2 external HD, some DVDs and Acronis True Image, and still have nightmares about losing data.

Thanks Dan. For most people, 1 or 2 external HD’s is enough of a backup. The only problem there is if your house burns down or if your surge protector fails in the case of a lightning strike and fries your whole office. OR theft… my brother-in-law had a break-in and law lost his PC AND backup drive. So the only solution for those things is an offsite backup, and the best way I know how to do that is to back it up to a webserver. If you’re backing up massive amounts of data, you may want to use SFTP or SSH rather than FTP . In my case I just use FTP to backup the very most important files, not my entire computer.

Great lesson as always. I use the admin panel for simple uploads but find that Filezilla is much better. At first it was a little intimidating because I was afraid of making mistakes and messing up my website. I like to keep a copy of all the web page files stored locally on my computer.
Your last lesson was helpful because it made me play with html a little. I always used the visual editor but you don’t learn that way.
I recently started a blog and had a database problem and could not get into the admin panel. If I had not played and learned a little about using FTP with Filezilla I would have been in trouble.
I was actually able to upgrade to Wordpress 2.7 and restore the database. Of course I had help from Google search for getting instructions on how to do it

Recently I had upload a camtasia video clip to my site from my web hosting server. And posted into my site successfully. It just a 468×360 short clip (1 min 15 sec). When I try to play it, why it has to take a long time to fully download the clip(it just take a few second when I play your clip)?
Is that because of the web hosting server or I need some setting in my camtasia studio programme?

It depends on the production settings when you produce the video. for one thing, I generally keep the file size small… like under 1MB per minute, which helps it play smoothly on the internet. I use SWF format, 16-bit color, jpeg compression, mp3 audio. If you are using one of the Camtasia settings with loading movie, set the preload to 1%, and the minimum preload time to 0.
Hi Eric - funny this should be today’s lesson since I just uploaded a bunch of files & images for a quarterly update to my sister’s missionary web site. I’ve been using free FTP Commander but don’t like it so maybe I’ll try filezilla.
My own site is waiting for me to choose a good domain name - this one thing has really slowed me down yet it seems so simple! I’ve written a survey to send out in January that will help me solve that. Although I wrote half an ebook on a baby-related topic, I’ve decided to change my niche to one that I know and enjoy, volunteer-based ESL. My grad thesis 4 years ago was a web-based ESL teaching guide still online at CSU, meaning that I already have dozens of pages of content that just need updating and reorganizing. Plus I discovered that some of the sites I referenced in that project have affiliate programs. I plan to add a newsletter, forum, more content, and eventually original resources for sale. –not that this has anything to do with today’s video but it helps me to write this stuff down - hope you don’t mind

I know this is of the track but I need help for uploading to my
site infrastructurehealing.com with XSite Pro which I have never done before and I have not been able to figure it out or get help from them.
When I go to test the FTP connection it says it works and when I click on publish my web site it does it but when I go to the open it I get the following:

I believe it has to do with what I need to type in for FTP Directory. I have typed in what XSite pro and Hostgator said to try which was /puplic_html/.I did this and what I explained above is what happens.
I have tried everything else I could think of but it has not worked
I would appreciate help or suggestions from anyone.

you’re close. You just created an extra public_html folder inside your real public_html folder. So your site is currently at: http://infrastructurehealing.com/public_html/
So whatever you did, you probably need to just eliminate one public_html from the address, or publish one level above wherever you previously published to.
That was to simple for how many times I tried to fix it.
All I had to do was leave my FTP Directory box empty and it worked.
I had tried that before but I am finding when working in XSite Pro and I make changes it is important to same the changes first before I try to publish.
Thought I would send the pre-launch date to some people I know just to get it out there and for me to practice.
I hope to have my site officially launched in January 2009 which will support both my retail and online business

Just to keep you post it, it is a very good lesson as usual, Eric, to be a teacher is one of your multiple talents.
I am using Smart FTP for a while and I am comfortable with it, but it is good to know that filezilla is an alternative.
By the way, yesterday I watched a live show with Joel C and you, I think were recorded in May. And I discover a couple of new angles of your personality. You said you are not a multi task person, you are doing one think at a time to do it right. I am agreeing with you but honestly I don’t know how you are able to accomplish this.
My big problem is that I am doing so many thinks in the same time. I try to discipline myself, I make some improvements on my schedule but I don’t get that far to work on just a task at a time.
And I have had a good laugh when you said, you “don’t use Twitter because it is a distraction”. When you will teach traffic, I am curious to see if you use Squidoo lenses, HubPages, Stumbleupon, digg, TwitMyBlog, and so on – all of them are distractions and very, very time consuming but they produce free traffic. And my observation from doing it is that if you use just one-two of them the result is zero, we have to use all of them and link them together to obtain substantial results.

It’s true, I’m not a good multi-tasker. I’ve been saying it for a long time now, so I found it interesting to hear Eben Pagan talking about it on a video recently. He said that our culture has created a misconception that multi-tasking is a good thing, and a badge to wear with honor. When in actuality, it almost always decreases efficiency and productivity by a large amount. While I have played around with most of the methods you mention above, I do not use ANY of them on a regular basis. As you mentioned, they are time consuming, and the results are not always good. There are easier ways for me to get traffic. However, I will be covering some of those web 2.0 tactics, because so many people are keenly interested in free traffic methods.

so what are those ways, can you name them.
2) I do not have any site before. After watching your lessons, I got 2 domains and hostgator baby account.
In both I installed wordpress.
so one is primary domain and second one is add-on domain.
so under public_html I have 2 domains. I also see
wp-admin
wp-content
wp-include folders.
I guess those are for the Primary domain, am I right?
when I click on the add-on domain: it again shows the same 3 folders as above.
My questions:
a)If I want to store videos that I want to play on my Primary domain website, where should I create folder or directory?
I right clicked after selecting public_html and selected create directory. Now under public_html, I see : wp admin; wp content; wp include; add on domain and new directory.
b)If I want to create a directory to store videos as above but for add-on domain (i.e., second site) should I right click on second domain name and create directory. Then when I double click the second site folder on upper - right quadrant in FTP, it shows three wp folders and new directory folder, total four.
Did I do this right? If I store videos or images or audio files in that new directory after renaming it, do they work?

2) you would create the folder within the public_html directory. It sounds like you’re on the right track. I’d say just do some tests and figure it out by trial and error; create a directory and upload something into it, and see if you can see it from the web.

Question: Do I really have to change the “public.html” to “index.html” for my home page?
Question: Do I have to put the sales page, product info for download on the same folder as my home page or to another page?
Question: Wht about if I wanted to add, say, an squezze page? To the same folder as my home page or to another folder?

Yes the home page needs to be named index.
I’ll be covering how to make a download page. You can put it in the same directory (public_html) or you can make a new directory for it within public_html.

Thursday and Friday I spent playing catchup watching your videos and find the content and information great and useful.
I have been ill for several years, and just plain ole didn’t feel like doing anything on the Internet or in IM. After arterial by-pass surgory in February and 8 months of recovery, I am finally motivated to get started again.
Before my illness, I was a Master Coach, I taught computer and IM classes in VoIP chat rooms and via email. Now, I can’t remember much of what I knew.
And with all the changes that have occurred in 2008 in the marketing world, you can call me a newbie.
I got my first domain in 2001, but did not find a real web host until 2003, after about 6 months of researching various web hosts. I finally decided to go with Kiosk.
In april 2007 an associate recommended IXWebhosting to me and I decided to try it out. I started with a free domain registration and put up a website (I had 500 gb webspace and 2500 gb bandwidth, for less than $60 p/y. In March 2008 the company moved the datacenter from KY to OH in just 36 hours, with no downtime. Since the move the service and features greatly improved. In October I got an automatic upgrade to Unlimited Webspace and bandwith and more). So I decided to close my account with Kiosk (Kiosk has been moving the data center from CAN to TX for months with a lot of downtime and numerous problems) and I moved all my domains to IXWebHosting. I do miss the cPanel and WHM, but the new features and improvement at IX are nearly equal to what I had. It actually has 24/7 Support (phone, chat, help desk, email, emergency pager).
I now have 14 domains, 4 need to have the web sites rebuilt or updated and 10 that have nothing on them, just waiting for content.
I learned HTML the hard way, and have built almost all of my web pages using HTML, Java Script, CSS, etc. I never liked the Site Builders or WYSIWYG editors, because I just could get the satisfaction I wanted in the appearance and features of a page.
Last week I spent several days studying the w3schools tutorials for a refresher on my forgotten skills and knowledge.
Now that is a little bit about me and where I have been.
Now my comment and question.
I have watched a lot of how-to-do videos from all kinds of gurus (so to speak) during the past few weeks, that tell us to put an auto responder form on our web pages or squeeze pages, but there is no explaination or instruction as to what to put in followup email messages.
Will you cover this topic in your lessons?
Now, I am ready to get started again.
I am looking forward to the next lesson.

Eric, I am in the process of setting up my first website. I am trying to download some pluggins it wordpress. I have downloaded them in ftp and they are showing that they are there but when I go to dashboard they are not there. I went to cpanel in file manager to see if they were there and they are. What am I doing wrong?

Eric, just viewed Lesson #29 and thanks to your TIPS I’m well on way to my first website. However, the index.html icon doesn’t open in Internet Explorer. The source code is there behind the page, but the page is blank. Really weird, because my little webpage displays perfectly in Netscape and Firefox. Can anyone explain this?… really confusing to me. Well, that didn’t workout did it? I sent the html hoping you could paste it into your browser, but it tranlated into a very bad page. It’s just a practice page, but its very neat, even has a red Headline. I’m sending it again ommiting the html tag:

Sorry one more question will the template make the width of the site reduce. I mean the page so, it can look more professional?
You can make the page any width, using a percentage of the browser window, or by using a fixed width. I generally like to use a fixed width because then I have more control over what the page looks like for the visitor.
Eric, I think where I got stuck on Lesson #28 is keeping me from being able to do Lesson 29. (I submitted 3 questions yesterday.) I was not able to get an HTML Index so when it got to the step of switching to the Index page I was stuck. Yesterday when I went to view my HTML Document it still had all the code on it. I was not able to switch the document to HTML code because when I go to Tools it does not have Folder Options so I didn’t know how to make the change. Please help!!!

your tips are a blessing. Wish I had found it sooner. The html lesson went real fast for me. Wish the video was longer. Because of a brain problem I have to take notes but I could see how it can become automatic. The Ftp is also confusing to me so I will have to study it. I can see where you want us to learn some html and you really can do it yourself. I never knew it could be so easy. The only part I had heard of was H1 header tag for keyword. I think the html could be broken into 2 lessons. but that is just me. You need to get this system out there so people know they can do it without being ripped off. There is a great demand for this. If you can keep it free that would be great but maybe charge a very small fee like $20 and that would all add up. The official gurus who are getting less ands less repect would have to s— in their pants never understanding true generousity on your part

I have a question for you, I’m a little be stock in lesson #28, like you sed to create a notepad, i can’t get it to work as a html page, it’s stays as a notepad and when I tried to set it up in the FTP server, it doesn’t recognize as a web page.
it shows only as a notepad, i can’t get anything as a web page.

It is most likely because it is still a txt (text) file, and not an html file. In order to change it to an html file, you need to change the file extension from txt to html. In order to do that, you must have file extensions visible in Windows.
For Windows XP go to:
Tools >> Folder Options >> Click the “View” tab >> Make sure there is NO checkmark by “Hide extensions for known file types”
For Windows Vista:
1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
2. Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
Eric, I completed Lesson #28. Whew!!! Now I’m stuck on Lesson #29. In Filezilla it does not like my Hostgator password. It likes my user name ok but will not accept the password. What should I do? Jeanette
First, make sure you’ve got the correct info in the “Host:” field in filezilla. It should be your domain by itself.
As for the password… will it not accept it at all? Or does it try to connect but then fail?
If it doesn’t accept it at all, then it seems like you are typing something incorrectly, or using invalid characters.
But if it tries connecting and then fails, then it seems like it’s just the wrong password. It’s the same password that you use to login to your cpanel. Are you able to log into your cpanel…

Why? and how do I fix the problem of when I go into my html editor, and load a template to build a website, upload to my hosting account using filzilla and I use fire fox as my browser, do I have spacing and font differences in internet explorer when I check it. I ran the brower of safari and also had no problems. I am using NUV as my html editor.

It sounds like a coding issue. Here’s the thing…
Different browsers interpret HTML code slightly differently, so there will always be some variations. I try to to worry about small variations, as long as it looks OK.
If you have spacing and font problems that don’t look good, there are ways of fixing it. Gnerally speaking, you can achieve a more standardized look to your site if you use CSS with “absolutes”. For example a font of 12px instead of size=2, or whatever. Obviously the more you learn, the better you can make your sites. But again, keep in mind that you don’t have to have the prettiest site to make money.
So focus on the essentials, but don’t sweat the small stuff for now
I try to save your tips to a folder. The text is stored, but the video is not. Is there a way to save the videos?

A blog does not have to be your main site, and you can have both. One key is your site should be focused and not cluttered. As long as it’s well organized it can have multiple components.

You should be able to double click the EXE file to install it on Windows.
where and how to upload database.
uploading a database (ie. MySQL) is different from uploading with http://FTP. You can manage databases using phpMyAdmin which is in the SQL management area of Cpanel.
Well i am a newbie and i must agree with everyone else that your lessons by far are the greatest to follow and understand. But, since i am a newbie i do have to work hard at getting some of the action steps completed. Right now i am trying to download filezilla-proj for uploading my website but it doesn’t download. it says it’s downloading but i have waited for 15 minutes and nothing happens. what is my next step? Also, is this the same as doing a “transfer” from my old host to HostGator? They told me in order to get my website online i need to complete a “transfer form” and that should take care of it.

It should not take that long to download filezilla. I would suggest try again, maybe try downloading from one of their mirror locations.
Yes Hostgator should be able to transfer your site for you. So you won’t need to worry about using filezilla for that, but then you’ll need filezilla later on when you’re ready to make changes to your website.

it’s unbelievable how easy is to follow your lessons.There’s nothing more and nothing less but exactly what it takes to overcome newbies’ fear and have the steps done as shown by you.I was used to search the Internet for all of mine how-to-questions and honestly said I became even more scared and almost lost my self confidence I could ever learn all the stuff mixed up with all and everything in it at once.The way you are teaching is just the opposite: breaking the fear and pushing up to make first simple steps just in right order they should be done.

All the lessons have been great. However My computer was infected with the Trojan virus. So I lost the TOOLS>>FOLDER OPTIONS>> menu. And the lessons on HTML requires to have this feature in order to upload my copy(web page)from my Notepad to live website. if there is someone out there who can advise me on getting that TOOLS, FOLDER OPTIONS back on my computer I would reeeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyy appreciate it .Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with how webs.com runs their hosting, but I’ve seen some sites with them that look like subdomains, which I do not recommend.

You can keep your squeeze page and also setup wordpress (or you can get rid of your squeeze page if you want… or you can re-create the squeeze page as a WP page).
In lesson #33 you will see how to easily install WP from within your Cpanel.

Base on that link there is no Philippines in the list of countries qualified to receive commission via direct deposit. What shall I do?
I am pretty sure there are banks in the Philippines which will allow you to deposit a US check.
I suppose an alternative would be to establish a US bank account. It may take a bit of work, but it is possible.
We have a website and I have added my email address to my google profile so I won’t need to login in seperately when I need to.

I designed my site using Drupal. Very easy o get a site up that way. It is a nice content management solution. Joomla is also a strong contender but Drupal works fine for me.

Looks fine to me! If you just type in the domain name into your browser it should not show the index.html in the address. But if you type in the index.html it will show. That’s the way it generally works.

1) Sure. You can set up a password protected member area and offer them the option to stream the videos online without having to download them. I mention this in the tutorial.
2) No conflicts.
3) The platform in the videos is thinkorswim, which is free with an account. Or they can download the “papertrading” version of thinkorswim. But the principles taught can be used with any platform.
3) Yes they are already in order, and listed in the member area which is included in your downloads.
4) I am not sure which video you are referring to.

Hiya’, I bought the Trading Pro System reseller package and have been struggling to get it up and running. Can’t wait. My clickbank link works…etc./..I’m getting closer.
For some odd reason I can’t get to the zip files. I followed all the instructions to upload to the member area all of the video zip files.
I can see them in Filezilla. I examined the source view and the link tags in the member area files look like the zip file names they are supposed to be pointing to.
When I uploaded the zip files I made sure I opened up the Member directory in the right hand window above the list of files, so I am fairly certain that I “uploaded the video zip files into the Member Area directory” per the instructional video.
Do the zip files have to be unzipped before uploading to the Member Area?

Here is an email I got from ClickBank. I removed the statement from “Explosive Strategy #3″ which stated “you can make thousands….etc…” and instead said “you can make money”. Also in “explosive Strategy #5″ I removed the statement “instead of making 1 or 2 thousand per month you can make 4 or 5 thousand per month.”
Yes they have really cracked down on any type of income claims. I’ve had to adjust some of my sales letters too, but ultimately it’s a good thing.

Try changing your index.html to all lowercase letters, including the extension.
