  Thanks Eric! I’m trying to master the Facebook traffic secrets. I haven’t even touched LinkedIn yet. What are your thoughts about SalesSpider? Is it a waste of time? I use twitter and StumbleUpon and believe it or not, according to Alexa, most of my traffic is coming from social networking sites. Only 33% comes from a search engine.

  My site is ranked 79k in the world, so that’s a decent amount of traffic. I pulled in 17,000 unique visitors last month which was my record and I am striving to break that again this month. Thanks for the tips!

    I’ve not yet used SalesSpider, however it looks like an interesting network. It fits well with my “Go where the fish are” philosophy. I like that you can drill down into specific categories. What I don’t like is it looks like a lot of ads on the site and not much content being posted by users.

  If internet marketers don’t embrace social media they will get left behind. It’s a must.

  Interesting point though Eric. You don’t have a linkedin button on your blog.

  A nice plugin is “Really simple Facebook and Twitter share buttons”.

  It’s better than it sounds because it has all the main buttons plus a few others that you can activate in the settings, to show above or below posts, or both. I use it on my site.

  Hey Eric, that was a long lesson in deed. I’m sure you’re right though. And I am on most of the social networks but like you say it can be a time waster if not done right.

    Generally speaking, it would be best to have separate twitter accounts for each niche/business. That way you can cater your tweets to those audiences, and build a targeted following. The possible exception would be if you are personally known as a guru/expert in both of those fields. In that case you might have better results with one account as your own name, and cater to both audiences.
